I recently had the opportunity to be part of an artist residency program and it was a decent experience. The website provided all the necessary information and the application process was smooth. The location of the program was convenient, nestled in a serene environment that provided a peaceful atmosphere for my creative work. The accommodation and studio space were adequate, although nothing extraordinary. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering guidance whenever needed. However, I did feel that the program lacked a bit in terms of networking and community engagement. There weren't many opportunities to connect with other artists or attend events that would enhance the overall experience. Overall, it was an average artist residency experience. It served its purpose of providing a space for creative work, but I wished for more opportunities to connect and collaborate with fellow artists.
