zero accountability

I'm editing this review as 1.5 years later and it's still an issue and Dartmouth is pointing at the insurance company and not advocating for its patients.
below they are blaming the insurance company and too me they have nothing to correct or apologize for on their end. They made a mistake and charged me as uninsured even when I gave them my card. The amount was small and I should have just paid it. but I did the right thing and told them. so apoligize for that. then I got an bill that was much higher so I paid that and was reimbursed from the owner of the dog that bite me. Then several months later the insurance company said I was not billed the correct amount and more than doubled the bill. So Dartmouth, apoligize for getting the bill wrong again and now I cant get reimburse from the owner of the dog as everyone says to take it up with the insurance company, If Dartmouth would of got the bill correct from the beginning I woudl not be dealing with this 1.5 years later and I woudl not be out thousands of dollars because someones dog bite me.

Do you really want to deal with a hospital that does not take responsibility or advocate for its patients?

The billing department is and has violated the "no surprise act" which require that health care providers and facilities give you an easy-to-understand notice explaining the applicable billing protections, who to contact if you have concerns that a provider or facility has violated the protections, and that patient consent is required to waive billing protections (i.e., you must receive notice of and consent to being balance billed by an out-of-network provider). A year after my claim I received an adjust bill for 3 times the original amount. Before that it was a lot of back and forth due to errors with the provider and hospital. So tired of hospitals and providers pointing fingers at each other. In my opinion they are both at fault do everything possible to protect the rights of the patients/ customers.
