I recently visited the saga museum and was pleasantly surprised by how immersive the experience was. The attention to detail in the exhibits was remarkable. The museum staff was very friendly and provided interesting insights into the stories behind the exhibits. If you're in Reykjavik, I highly recommend checking out Sögusafnið / saga museum!
