The blockchain, like most groundbreaking new technologies, came with a big promise: to provide both decentralization and security using distributed and immutable ledgers. This approach has lead to clear benefits, but we want more. We believe blockchain technologies are still in their early stages, no matter how they are implemented. Both public blockchains (Bitcoin, Ethereum etc) and private ones (Hyperledger, Corda etc) are still partially centralized, power-hungry, not suitable for all applications and dependent on rewarding systems based on cryptocurrencies.
