Nous avons fait le voyage en canoë de Mendenhall pour rencontrer de près le glacier. Ce fut un super voyage et David, notre guide, était incroyablement compétent et amusant. Il nous a emmenés jusqu'à Nugget Falls et était également très conscient des limites d'un canoë plein de rameurs novices. David a rendu ce voyage très spécial pour nous. Merci!!!

J'ai travaillé pour Alaska Travel Adventures pendant quelques mois l'été dernier. Les gens étaient assez gentils même si tout était très désorganisé. J'étais censé être un chauffeur de bus / fourgonnette, mais j'ai plutôt été mis au travail comme réceptionniste au bureau pendant un mois entier jusqu'à ce que je finisse par rentrer chez moi. On m'a à peine demandé si j'étais d'accord avec ça, ils ont juste insisté sur le fait que je serais bon au travail et que j'étais nécessaire là-bas à la place. Je n'aimais pas ça là-bas, tout était bien trop occupé pour nous deux. Très désorganisé, j'ai eu des ennuis pour des choses que je n'ai pas faites, trépidant tout le temps. Je me suis inscrit au logement des employés, nous étions coincés 6 dans un appartement, 2 dans une pièce même les très petites chambres, une seule salle de bain dans laquelle les toilettes se sont cassées plusieurs fois et sont restées en panne pendant plusieurs heures. Personne ne m'avait prévenu que ce serait comme ça du tout. Je ne le recommanderais pas aux personnes qui aiment le travail organisé et prévisible. Je me sens assez flexible, mais même moi, j'ai été déçu par le manque d'organisation et le manque de respect pour certains d'entre nous, les employés.

Nous avons passé un excellent moment avec le capitaine Jay et Sara aujourd'hui et avons vu de belles baleines. Sara a diverti tout le monde grâce à sa connaissance de la région et de la faune. Leur bateau est nouveau, rapide et cool, bien que seuls les garçons s'intéressent probablement à cela. En tout cas, c'était une mauvaise façon de commencer notre aventure en Alaska et tout le monde devrait vérifier ces gars-là! Nous devons également remercier Stirling et Mary de nous avoir conduits d'un endroit à l'autre et d'avoir signalé tous les pygargues à tête blanche et les choses amusantes à Juneau.
