Si vous souhaitez envoyer votre enfant à l'école maternelle/maternelle, vous envisagez de dépenser entre 25 000 $ et 40 000 $ par an. Pour ce genre d'argent, vous vous attendez en quelque sorte à un certain niveau de service.

À première vue, City and Country ressemble à une bonne école, mais malheureusement, je ne le saurai jamais. Ma principale plainte découle de leur politique de tournée scolaire. Ils exigent des frais de 50 $ pour voir les locaux et voir les salles de classe.

* un restaurant qui vous oblige à payer pour obtenir un menu.
* un concessionnaire automobile qui facture des frais pour voir ses voitures.
* acheter une maison qui coûte 50 $ pour la journée portes ouvertes.
* une bibliothèque qui charge de parcourir les piles de livres.

Je comprends des frais d'inscription, mais des frais pour simplement voir l'école sont absurdes.

Lorsque j'ai demandé de renoncer aux frais de visite, la City and Country School a répondu qu'il était "courant" pour les écoles privées de facturer des frais pour une visite scolaire.

Pas vrai. Quelques-uns le font. Wetherby-Pembridge et The Episcopal School le font. La grande majorité ne le fait pas. Considérant que je ne voudrais pas que mon enfant soit dans l'atmosphère étouffante d'une école Wetherby-Pembridge ou épiscopale, je vais simplement supposer qu'exiger des frais pour une visite scolaire est un signe avant-coureur d'une école qui n'est pas adaptée pour notre famille. Je veux que ma fille soit un esprit libre confiant, dans une atmosphère de fraternité et d'égalité. Ce n'est PAS l'impression que je reçois de Wetherby-Pembride et de l'école épiscopale. En extrapolant, ce n'est probablement pas le cas non plus pour C&C.

Les normes d'or brillant des écoles maternelles privées et indépendantes de New York, The Avenues, 92nd Y, Saint Ann's, Berkeley Carroll n'exigent PAS ces frais absurdes, et ce sont les écoles que je désire vivement pour ma fille. En fait, Avenues (peut-être la meilleure école maternelle de la ville) veut que je vienne à *deux* visites avant de postuler.

Si City and Country m'a appris quelque chose, c'est qu'exiger des frais pour voir une école est un bon signe avant-coureur d'une école dont l'environnement n'est pas adapté à ma fille heureuse, curieuse et libre d'esprit.

C'est la meilleure école de tous les temps ! Je l'aime!
