Si triste de vous voir partir, mais votre temps est écoulé. First Tech était le meilleur. Premier revendeur Apple et Mac dans les villes jumelles. Meilleur pendant des années et des années. Avait un magasin rempli de Genius avant qu'Apple ne sache ce que cela signifiait. Toujours cher, mais vous en avez pour votre argent.

Ensuite, Apple a ouvert ses propres magasins. La concurrence directe, en bas de la rue, semblait si injuste à l'un de leurs premiers partenaires au monde.

Et avec le contrôle des prix récemment abandonné, First Tech ne pouvait plus survivre. Vous nous manquerez. Mais il n'y a plus de place pour un détaillant dévoué et fidèle. Les clients et les fournisseurs recherchent le prix le plus bas, et First Tech ne pouvait pas rivaliser.

Leur personnel de vente est sympathique mais le personnel technique est nul. J'ai emmené mon mac là-bas - il avait un problème de gel - ils l'ont gardé pendant près de deux semaines, m'appelant tous les deux jours pour me dire qu'ils n'avaient aucune idée de ce qui n'allait pas et me demander ce que je voulais faire. Pourquoi me demanderaient-ils ce que je voulais faire alors qu'ils prétendent avoir des techniciens avec «plus de 20 ans d'expérience»? Ils n'ont rien fait pour diagnostiquer ou résoudre le problème et, bien sûr, je devais encore payer les frais de diagnostic. À ce jour, mon ordinateur continue d'avoir le problème.

Franchement, pas une bonne expérience. Je fais mon premier achat de Mac et j'avais hâte de confier mon entreprise à un petit détaillant local plutôt qu'à mon magasin universitaire de la chaîne Apple Store. J'ai eu beaucoup de questions et j'ai tout de suite dit aux commerciaux que je n'avais jamais possédé de Mac. Ils étaient sympathiques au début mais m'ont tout expliqué très rapidement et quand j'ai dû poser à nouveau des questions, ils ont semblé impatients et m'ont coupé la parole. J'avais l'impression de ne plus poser de questions et dès que j'ai remercié l'associé, il s'est rapidement éloigné. Plus tard dans la journée, j'ai appelé pour poser quelques questions de suivi et celles-ci ont été rencontrées avec une attitude typique de l'informatique «êtes-vous une sorte d'idiot». Assez décevant, compte tenu d'aller à la chaîne ou au magasin de mon université après tout.

J'ai toujours eu l'impression d'être surchargé et mal desservi ici.
