Tout d'abord, je dirai que j'habite dans une zone rurale, au milieu de nulle part à Okeechobee, je ne suis pas sûr qu'ils fournissent d'autres moyens de service, mais celui que j'utilise avec eux nécessite une tour, et l'un de leur modem / antenne parabolique, il fonctionne sur une tour radio. Je crois comprendre que c'est essentiellement un énorme système wifi. Je n'ai vraiment aucune idée, mais j'imagine qu'ils ont des connexions bien meilleures et plus stables pour les personnes qui n'ont pas à compter sur tout ce gâchis.
Le service en lui-même est correct, quand il fonctionne de toute façon, tant que vous avez une zone dégagée, pas d'arbres à une bonne distance du récepteur et une tour décente pour qu'il soit allumé. C'est de toute façon une bien meilleure alternative aux FAI par satellite, mais cela ne veut pas dire grand-chose.
Toutefois...
Ces derniers mois, il y a eu des interférences avec les tours ici ... Ils ne semblent rien y faire. La perte de paquets perturbe énormément les jeux en ligne et les vidéos en streaming avec une qualité décente. Comme je l'ai dit, ça fait des mois ... Certains jours, ce n'est pas si mal, d'autres jours c'est horrible et je peux à peine faire quoi que ce soit.
100 dollars par mois pour cela ... jusqu'à ce qu'il soit réparé et qu'il recommence à fonctionner comme avant, certainement un service une étoile.
