J'ai rencontré le réalisateur et j'ai fait une tournée. Cette école étonnante était autrefois bien en avance sur les écoles publiques en matière de prise en charge des élèves lors de sa fondation. De nos jours, c'est une alternative principalement pour les petites classes et pour les étudiants autistes qui ont besoin de l'environnement le plus restrictif. Dans SDUSD, c'est le troisième niveau de soins et ils s'assurent que l'étudiant y appartient avant de payer pour cela. Certaines familles paient les frais de scolarité et envoient leur étudiant s'ils sont admissibles. Ils offrent également des soins aux étudiants ayant des problèmes psychologiques mais je ne connais pas le programme. J'ai été heureux de voir que les écoles publiques les ont rattrapés (Stein a été fondé dans les années 70) si bien financé et bonne nouvelle, notre quartier l'est. Pourtant, le personnel est incroyable et les programmes comme les interactions avec les animaux (chevaux) en tant que thérapie sont uniques à Stein. Ils congédient à 13 heures, donc ils ont des jours plus courts. J'ai quatre enfants autistes et notre communauté n'a que des éloges pour cette école.
