J'ai fait ma certification PADI en eau libre ici. L'instructeur (et d'autres professionnels de la plongée) étaient bons, compréhensifs et très serviables. Les personnes qui exploitaient le magasin de plongée étaient également très sympathiques.
Seven Seas Scuba est idéalement situé sur Cannery Row, et les véritables plongées en eau libre se font sur la plage à moins de 100 mètres. Cela rend les choses comme le remplissage de bouteilles vides, la location de matériel ou le retour de matériel très faciles.
Le seul inconvénient que je vois est l'eau froide de Monterey, qui a souvent une très faible visibilité. J'ai perdu mon copain à quelques reprises en traversant des sections où la visibilité était aussi basse que 3 pieds. Bien sûr, le magasin n'a aucun contrôle sur cela.
Je veux faire une plongée guidée avec Seven Seas hier (en tant que novice OWD) et j'ai passé une excellente expérience. Dave, le divemaster/instructeur, était très sympathique et enthousiaste, et c'était super de plonger avec. Le matériel de location était également en très bon état.
Le point fort de ce magasin de plongée est son emplacement : il est juste en face du brise-lames - donc si vous voulez y plonger, vous pouvez simplement vous habiller dans le magasin, marcher dessus et sauter dans l'eau.
