C'est un excellent environnement de travail et les résidents sont si bien traités ici que dans n'importe quel endroit où j'ai travaillé.

Ma mère était une patiente récente à Helmwood Rehab. Elle aura 89 ans en janvier, elle était là pour une cure de désintoxication d'une hanche et d'un bras cassés. On nous a demandé d'apporter un inhalateur pour son asthme de la maison, ce que nous avons fait. Nous avons rendu compte lors d'une réunion de progrès que nous avons en fait apporté, il y avait deux membres du personnel présents à cette réunion. Deux jours plus tard, une infirmière a fait venir trois aides dans sa chambre et la maintenir contre son gré et l'infirmière est allée entre ses jambes et a apporté le prolongateur à son inhalateur qui ne contenait aucun médicament. Ils ont épinglé les deux bras contre sa chaise roulante et lui ont laissé une ecchymose sur le bras qui était cassée. Trois femmes retenues. Femme de 88 à 89 ans pour un prolongateur d'inhalateur. Elle était pour le moins traumatisée, elle avait peur et ne se sentait pas en sécurité. Si vous envisagez d'emmener un être cher dans cet établissement, surveillez-le attentivement. Ceci est contraire à toutes les lois de Medicare et de l'État du Kentucky.

Ils traitent tout le monde comme s'ils étaient stipid, un voleur.

J'ai eu des êtres chers ici et ils ont été négligés. Je n'aurais jamais pensé que cet endroit avait de si pauvres aides et infirmières. Ils ne s'en soucient tout simplement pas, ils se mentent l'un pour l'autre. Les résidents paient près de 7 000 $ par mois pour être là-bas et ils ne peuvent même pas répondre aux besoins des personnes âgées, c'est le moins qu'on puisse dire.
