Le jardin communautaire et centre d'apprentissage en plein air de Lafayette a été créé en 2011. C'est un jardin coopératif avec 50 adhésions individuelles ou familiales et 20 adhésions associées. Le jardin est ouvert au public et les meilleures heures de visite en saison sont le samedi matin de 9h00 à 13h00 et le mercredi après-midi de 15h00 à 18h00.
